What's going on in Beijing?

Everything! You would be amazed at the number of activities, clubs and events that have sprung up all over the place in Beijing -- it's certainly a more happening place than it used to be. These classified listing pages are FREE and meant to provide an outlet other than the Lido market message board to get the word out!

MAIN FEATURE/MESSAGE BOARDS (Everything is FREE!): (please read the ground rules first)

Monthly calendar - Please do not post events that are timely, or are scheduled to occur in the next few days. We first review all submitted postings, which can take 1-3 days.

Community and cultural clubs/events - This is a great spot to inform everyone about cultural groups or sporting clubs that meet on a ongoing basis.

Classifieds (FREE!) - Apartments, for sale, personal ads. Post away!

Advertisements (FREE!) - Yup! Free! For people or companies with services or sales.

Seeking a China job - List your skills and contact info here, if you are job hunting.

GROUND RULES (please take a second to read here first!):

What can be posted? Anything that fits into the above categories. Please make sure the message is China related. Please also pick the category you feel your posting best fits into; China Insight will not decide for you, or reorganize the message boards. For job postings, please see the China job listing page. Please keep your description brief and to the point, and leave some way for people contact you directly (person and fax, e-mail, web site or snail mail). China Insight will not be a screening process or forwarder of mail; nor does China Insight assume responsibility for the accuracy or content of any posted material. All postings are reviewed after submittal by China Insight before being officially posted (a process that take 1-3 days). China Insight reserves the sole right to reject any submittals it deems derogatory, unclear, or not in the spirit with which these board were created.

How long will it be posted? All postings will be posted for 30 days, after which time they will automatically drop from the site. It is your job to repost after this occurs.

Who can post? Anyone. Yes, anyone. Get the word out -- for free!

What cannot be posted: Derogatory, inflammatory, and non-China related information. China Insight reserves the sole right to reject any submittals it deems not in the spirit with which the boards were created.We will not notify you if your posting is rejected; we simply will not approve it for posting.

Who looks at these pages? We're still finding out, and we'll keep you informed. Obviously, people who are computer literate are checking us out. But we're primarily getting heavy traffic from English speaking Chinese nationals, young expats with fluent Chinese in Beijing, students in the States and foreign professionals abroad considering relocating to the PRC. On April we also added a statistical tracker service -- click here to see who's visting us! (Note that these are abbreviated statistics -- complete statistics are private access -- and have only been kept starting April 6, 1998. How can you help us? By sending us feedback. How can this message board be better? We would love to know if you receive inquiries from your posting on our board, or if you find us of service, so we know this is not a wasted exercise. E-mail us and let us know! China Insight has no commercial, business or economic interest in anything related to these listing boards.

Why did we set up the free message boards? Because there's so much going on, but no decent forums for it in Beijing. Not all of us have money to place adverts in newspapers or on web sites that are no guarantee of success. That's why we are free; post something and see what happens. China Insight has no commerical, business or economic interest in anything related to these listing boards.
